Already at the premiere this major project was enthusiastically welcomed both by critics and the audience, becoming one of the most popular productionsof the CNT in Zagreb that in an extremely funny way talks not only about Mr. Jourdain, but also ofall the petty bourgeois who think money can buy everything. In abubbling performance, excellent drama, opera and ballet artists together with the Croatian Baroque Ensemble give support to theamazing Siniša Popović’s Mr. Jourdain, presenting the greatest masterpiece of the French comedy writer in a modern and original way. The productionis a joint production of the Drama, Opera and Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, with the participation of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble. The production has received numerous awards.
